...is a well-established, intimate and very family friendly event in a beautiful rural setting, held in large marquees on a greenfield site in the picturesque hamlet of Stainsby, Derbyshire
It's a registered charity and a not-for-profit event run entirely by unpaid volunteers, not some faceless corporate, and a winner of the Queens' Award for Voluntary Service. Stainsby is all about live music and performance: hearing, playing, writing, performing, learning. All proceeds go back into the event. Period.\\

=== Stamp of Approval
It's sometimes difficult getting across that we really are run entirely by unpaid volunteers and are genuinely a not-for-profit festival. What to do, what to do?? Well, on the principle that a picture is worth a thousand words (especially when you have to write them!), we've introduced the natty red stamp on the top left. We're putting it on all our stuff to try and spread the word about why Stainsby is not only a great festival, but also a great community run event.\\

     ** Note: Performers looking for Gigs**\\
Because we're entirely volunteer run, we've all got day jobs to keep body and soul together, not to mention feeding the kids (Doh! - we've mentioned them!), so the volume of emails asking for gigs is far too large for us to deal with. If you have sent one, don't expect a response. It's nothing personal -  there just aren't enough hours in the day. We'll only be in touch if there's the chance of a gig.

Thanks to the LEADER Programme for part funding the purchase and installation of an eco-roadway, bar equipment, upgrade of the site’s electrical system, website and graphic redesign.
